Microsoft has already made available its December Patch Tuesday update. Additionally, the Redmond business wants to emphasise that it won’t offer any more optional upgrades until 2022 comes to an end as we get closer to Christmas and New Year.
Microsoft will be taking a little Christmas break, as it disclosed in its most recent updates and announcements, so there won’t be any optional updates this month. The monthly security fixes that were delivered on Tuesday are a result of the fact that necessary security updates must yet continue.
There won’t be a non-security preview release for the month of December 2022, according to Microsoft, because there won’t be any operations between the holidays and the upcoming Western new year. For December 2022, there will be a monthly security release (sometimes referred to as a “B” release). Beginning in January 2023, both B and C releases will receive regular monthly servicing.
Since the January Patch Tuesday update won’t include bug patches targeted at issues resulting from the optional December updates, which frequently cause some system troubles, it might be a little lighter.
