The first “Moment” update from Microsoft was made available back in October, and it was very significant because it introduced some notable new features including the Tabbed Files Explorer, improved Taskbar, a new Photos app, and more. The second “Moment” upgrade from the firm for Windows 11 is expected in March of the following year. And now, a fresh rumour has emerged revealing the month in which “Moment 3” will be released.
Microsoft is planning the Windows 11 “Moment 3” update, or what he called “Continuous Innovations,” for release in May 2023, claims Microsoft observer Ice Universe. However, “Moments 3” is still a secret because Microsoft has made no references to it. Even worse, we haven’t heard anything from leaks or rumours regarding what will be included in that update.
For the uninitiated, Microsoft abandoned the practise of releasing two significant Windows updates every year. The software company instead opted to roll out a number of brief feature updates throughout the year, which were internally referred to as “Moment” updates. The single “Moment” upgrade from the software giant to yet was issued, and the following one is anticipated to follow in March of the following year.
Although the period of time between “Moment 1” and “Moment 2” appears to be fairly long — about six months — According to the most recent “Moment 3” rumour, Microsoft will likely release the third one quickly. Of course, these are only conjectures, and Microsoft might have other ideas. However, considering Ice Universe’s stellar track record, the “Moment 3” release date has a decent probability of being accurate.
Although the “Moment 3” update’s feature set is unknown, the one that will be released in March should be very interesting. Windows 11 22H2 Moment 2 is anticipated to have a redesigned Taskbar layout for tablets, live search in File Explorer, website recommendations in the Start menu, energy-saving tips, drag-and-drop functionality for the System Tray, and much more.
