Builds 22621.1028, 22623.1028 of Windows 11 Beta are released with numerous new patches.

Microsoft said on Tuesday that Windows 11 Insider Preview Builds 22621.1028 and 22623.1028 (KB5021866) had been made available on the Beta Channel. Such builds are typically released in pairs to highlight the higher build numbers that get the new features turned on by default. However, since KB5021866 doesn’t provide any new functionality, it will no longer be required. Instead, it includes a number of fresh fixes made specifically for Build 22623.1028.

Beta Insiders will receive patches for many areas of their Windows 11 system with Build 22623.1028. The fixes for repeatedly crashing explorer.exe in safe mode, inconsistent sleep recommendations on the Energy Recommendations page and Battery & Power page, incorrect Task Manager colours in light and dark on Custom mode, taskbar issues, and more are some of the most notable ones included in the release.

The entire list of fixes for Builds 22621.1028 and 22623.1028 can be seen below.

On the other hand, Microsoft also informed its Insiders about the December 2022 Bug Bash, which would run from 12 am PST on December 7 to 11:59 pm PST on December 12.

Insiders in the Dev and Beta Channels will begin to notice quests starting to light up in the Feedback Hub tomorrow, December 7, covering various scenarios we’re looking for feedback on. Use this chance to test out some new features and let us know how it goes! According to Microsoft’s blog article. “After the Bug Bash is over, insiders who participated (by submitting feedback or finishing quests on the most recent builds for their channel) will receive a badge in the Feedback Hub.”
