On the Epic Games Store, Dark Deity and Evil Dead: The Game are both free.

The ongoing weekly freebies promotion from the Epic Games Store now includes copies of Evil Dead: The Game and Dark Deity, so it’s time for another giveaway. The most recent pair has taken the place of the Alba and Shadow Tactics giveaways from the previous week and is available to claim for PC gamers for an entire week.

With an AI opponent also available if you prefer cooperative play, Evil Dead: The Game is a four versus one multiplayer survival game in which you assume the role of either the monster or one of the survivors. Both the forces of good and evil are straight out of the Evil Dead movies and TV series, as the title makes clear. The book’s publication date is May of this year.

Here is how Saber Interactive, the game’s creator, sums up the experience:

Put yourself in Ash Williams’ or his friends’ shoes from the venerable Evil Dead series and play a game with hysterical co-op and PVP multiplayer action! Play as a group of four survivors, scavenging for supplies to close the gap between worlds while also learning to control your fear.

Another freebie is the tactical role-playing game Dark Deity, which features turn-based combat. You are in charge of a group of four Brookstead Military Academy students who are thrown into a war in a make-believe world. When assembling a team, players can select from over 30 playable characters and 54 different classes.

The setting of this 2021 release, according to developer Sword & Axe, is as follows:

Enter the Terrazael universe and guide future legends on a mission to mend a land torn by broken oaths, rash wars, and unbridled magic. Return the favour in turn-based combat, oversee character interactions, gather perilous artifacts, and put the world back together.

Dark Deity is available for $24.99 while Evil Dead costs $59.99 when purchased without any discounts.

Up until next Thursday, November 24, you can get both Evil Dead: The Game and Dark Deity for nothing. The Epic Games Store will offer Star Wars: Squadrons as the next freebie after this offer expires. Don’t forget that Ubisoft is also giving away the first Splinter Cell right now.
