A third significant update for Windows 11 22H2 may be in the works from Microsoft.

Consumers were given access to Windows 11 version 22H2 in September, and the first feature release, code-named “Moment 1,” started rolling out in October. This release included a new Photos app, tabs in File Explorer, suggested actions, and an overhauled taskbar overflow UI.

Microsoft won’t discuss upcoming feature updates, but the “Moment 2” update for Windows 11 version 22H2, which is scheduled to launch between January and March, is something we do know about. Moment 2 should allow new functionality in version 22H2 much like Moment 1 did.

Microsoft isn’t really committed to sticking to a set schedule for feature drops, so there’s a chance that future updates will continue to be called “Moments.” references found in the preview in fact

Microsoft teases screen recorder for Windows 11

Of course, it’s too early to predict what Windows 11 Moment 3 may bring. When it comes to the release date, you shouldn’t anticipate it before the summer.

The Windows 11 23H2 release is still planned.

Microsoft has switched to a new engineering timetable, according to sources familiar with the matter. According to the new schedule, Windows’ major OS versions will once again undergo a three-year development cycle. In other words, Windows 11 won’t receive a significant improvement until the following OS release, which would be Windows 12.

In the past, rumours claimed that Microsoft had cancelled Windows 11 version 23H2 in order to concentrate on Windows 12 and minor feature cutbacks. Although we are aware that Windows 11 will now receive “version 23H2,”
