Coming soon to EA Play and Xbox Game Pass is Battlefield 2042

The multiplayer shooter Battlefield 2042 is about to receive a significant player injection as DICE and other EA studios continue to support the live service. The game will join the EA Play and Xbox Game Pass subscription services with the release of its third season, titled Escalation, according to the most recent development update from DICE.

The game is now included with the EA Play basic subscription for the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. Members of Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscription services receive free access to Battlefield 2042 because EA Play is a bonus feature of both subscriptions.

Although Season 3 hasn’t been released yet, it will cap off a year of Battlefield 2042 updates. The game’s development team is predicting great things for the future, and they’ve even confirmed that pre-production is already underway on content for the game’s release after Season 4 in 2023.
Season 3 will bring new weapons for the modern shooter from previous Battlefield games via Portal mode, a Specialist overhaul to reintroduce them as a part of a Class system, and updates to current maps. New Portal content, a new map, a brand-new Specialist, as well as other highly requested changes to the shooter, are also on the way.

Battlefield 2042 free-to-play events are starting in December on all platforms to make sure everyone has a chance to try out the updated shooter.
Xbox users can access the site for free from December 1 through December 4, and PC users can do the same from December 1 through December 5. From December 16 through December 23, PlayStation owners will have free access for an entire week. This is in addition to the game’s previously mentioned inclusion in EA Play, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, and PC Game Pass.
