A fresh pair of Windows 11 Preview builds are being released by Microsoft to the Beta Channel. Two groups of Insiders will receive Build 22621.885 and Build 22623.885 (KB5020054), with the latter arriving with the majority of the features turned on by default. In addition, there are many new features in the new edition that you can test out, like the ability to access Studio Effects from Quick Settings, the Energy Recommendations option in Settings, the ability to enlarge the size of the widgets board, and more.
Insiders in the Beta Channel will be happy with the tasty release known as Build 22623.885. The majority of improvements centre on providing customers with more convenient setup options. The first is the addition of Windows Studio effects to devices with compatible Neural Processing Units’ Quick Settings on the taskbar. While you can still access the effects on the Settings pages, having these choices in Quick Settings should make it simpler for you to adjust your camera and audio effects.
Additionally, Microsoft is adding a new setting in Build 22623.885 that will enable its PCs to conserve energy more effectively. Go to Settings > System > Power & Battery > Energy Recommendations to view the new setting, which is titled “Energy Recommendations.”
Added advancements The new Tamil Anjal keyboard, clipboard history on password fields, a new dropdown touch keyboard icon option, and the new capability to rearrange icons in the hidden icons flyout in the system tray will all be available to insiders who receive Build 22623.885.
Both builds will, however, now be able to increase the size of the widgets board. In the upper right corner of the board, adjacent to the add widgets button, a new expand and collapse button will be present in this update. After you choose to widen the area, more widgets will be shown at once, and the size choice will be retained when you close the board.
As per usual, fixes are part of the builds’ release, although the majority of them won’t be available until Build 22623.885.
