Microsoft publishes Edge Dev 109, a first build that includes numerous new features.

The first build of Edge Dev 109 from Microsoft includes a number of new features, bug fixes, and speed enhancements. All Edge Insiders who have the Dev Channel subscription are currently receiving Edge Dev 109.0.1481.0, which is the initial build of the new version.

The “Open this page in Compatibility view” toggle has been added to the Add page prompt in the most recent Edge Dev release. Only pages in Internet Explorer mode support this. The “open in new tab” option has also been added to the Sidebar games. The UWP File Upload feature and the IDL validator utility are two additions to WebView2 that are coming out with this version.

Additionally, Microsoft Edge Dev 109 offers a tonne of updates and enhancements. You can view the complete official changelog below to learn more about these repairs and enhancements.

109.0.1481.0 of Microsoft Edge Development

All platforms, including Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS, are now receiving Microsoft Edge Dev 109.0.1481.0. Platform-specific adjustments are also part of the release, as you can see in the official changelog up top. It will be interesting to see if Microsoft adds the option to ban every YouTube video commercial in Edge v109.

You may get Microsoft Edge Dev from the official Edge Insider website if you want to test out these new features before Beta and stable channel users. Users of the Dev Channel must go to Help and feedback > About Microsoft Edge in order to update to the most recent version of the browser. The update is visible here. To finish the installation, you must download, install, and then restart the browser.
