One of the most notable aspects testers recently found in the most recent Xbox Insider build is the quicker boot speed. Builds are full of surprises. This is made feasible by the Xbox Series X/S consoles’ starting time being cut by about 5 seconds thanks to a reduced bootup animation.
After one Twitter user commented about the difference she noticed, Xbox Integrated Marketing Director Josh Munsee acknowledged the modifications. Munsee responds, “I can confirm.” The marketing director goes on to say that the team “helped to minimize the overall startup time” by creating a “shorter boot up animation (4s) from the original boot up animation (9s).”
Later, Xbox Senior Product Manager Lead Jake Rosenberg tweeted again, indicating it wasn’t just the Xbox Series X/S consoles. Xbox One generation consoles are booting substantially faster with these adjustments, and they are rolling out with the most recent versions to Xbox Insider.
The change in the Xbox build was made for an unknown reason, however it is significant to notice that it favors the Energy Saver option. Although users of the console won’t be able to play straight away after turning it on in this energy-efficient mode, the previously 20-second boot process will now take only about 15 seconds.
