Using PowerPoint for iOS’s Insider Version 2.63 (Build 22062602) or later, you can highlight text

For iOS users, the option to highlight text in PowerPoint has been long overdue, but it is finally available. Actually, not for everyone who uses iOS, but for Office Insiders running 2.63 (Build 22062602) or higher.

This feature is finally available in PowerPoint for iPhones and iPads after receiving numerous requests for it. In a post, product manager for the PowerPoint Mobile team Ekta Dwivedy makes an announcement. “Any text in a text box, table, or shape on your PowerPoint slides can now be highlighted. Additionally, you can remove any highlighting that others have added (an iOS feature not previously available).

The positioning of the highlight tool makes using the functionality different depending on the iOS device Insiders will be using. The Highlight button on an iPhone can be found in the toolbar above the keyboard or right next to the ability to change the font color. On the iPad, the Highlight option is situated on the ribbon beneath the Home tab. After selecting the texts, tapping these icons will enable highlighting functions and allow you to choose the highlight colors.
